Courses

We run Sea Cadet Advancement courses. Many are RYA approved. So we have courses for you, whether you want to go powerboating, pulling or sailing. See Diary Section for full list of Courses.

Dinghy Sailing
The SCC follows theRYA’s Youth Sailing Scheme which has four stages to take you from the basics to fully proficient. It's is a great way to learn whatever type of sailing you choose to do in the future. There are also specialisation courses: Race Training; Spinnaker; Performance Sailing and Seamanship. Plus adult courses.

Powerboating
The SCC follows the RYA National Powerboat Scheme. You can learn how to handle a small powerboat at high and low speed and go onto get Safety Boat Certification.

National Pulling Scheme

Our fleet includes:
Sail: ASCs, Bosun's, Picos, Toppers, Laser 2000, Laser Stratos, RS Feva.
Power: Champs and RIBs (safety boats).
Pulling: ASC.
